This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "Prayer Reminder & Salah Guide" App, developed by Abdul Kader Palash.

Important: All data stored locally remains on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to any servers. When you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted.
Notification Permission: The App requests notification permission to send prayer time reminders and alarms. You can deny this permission, but you will not receive prayer notifications.
Prayer Alarm Notifications: The App schedules local notifications for prayer times based on your preferences:
Storage: Notification preferences and scheduled notification IDs are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences.
No Server Transmission: All notifications are generated and stored locally. No notification data is transmitted to external servers.
Exact Alarm Permission (Android 12+): The App requests exact alarm permission to ensure prayer notifications fire at the precise prayer time, even when the device is in power-saving mode.
The App and third-party services may collect non-personal, technical information about your device:

Purpose: AdMob is used to display advertisements within the App to support free access to all features.

Purpose: Google Maps is used to help you find nearby mosques. When you tap the Mosque feature, the App opens Google Maps (either the app or web version) with a search query for nearby mosques.
Data Collection: Google Maps may collect location data and search queries according to Google's Privacy Policy. The App does not directly collect or store this data.

Note: The App only opens Google Maps externally. We do not embed Google Maps within the App or collect location data for mosque searches.

The App uses the following third-party packages that may have their own data collection practices:
geolocator & geocoding: Location services (as described in Section 2.2). These packages do not collect or transmit data to external servers.
awesome_notifications: Local notification service for prayer alarms. All notifications are generated and stored locally on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers.
audioplayers: Audio playback functionality for Azan sound. Audio files are played locally from your device storage. No data is transmitted.
adhan_dart: Prayer time calculation library. All calculations are performed locally. No data is transmitted.
timezone: Timezone conversion library. All conversions are performed locally. No data is transmitted.
google_fonts: Font loading service. Google Fonts may collect usage statistics. You can review Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
package_info_plus: Accesses app version information. No data is transmitted.
url_launcher: Opens external URLs (e.g., Play Store, email, Google Maps). No data is collected by this package.
share_plus: Enables sharing functionality. Uses your device's native sharing, no data is collected.
sqflite_sqlcipher: Encrypted local database for storing prayer step guide content. All data remains on your device.
The App uses graphical assets from free or open-source platforms, including:

Location Data: To calculate accurate prayer times based on your geographical location, determine the Qibla direction for prayer, and help you find nearby mosques.

Prayer Notifications: To send you prayer time reminders and alarms with Azan sound based on your preferences and enabled prayers.
Calendar Features: To display both Gregorian and Hijri (Islamic) dates, calculate Suhur & Iftar timings.
Analytics (when Firebase is implemented): To understand how users interact with the App, identify popular features, and improve user experience.
Crash Reports (when Firebase is implemented): To identify and fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
Advertising: To display relevant advertisements through AdMob, which helps us provide the App free of charge.
We prioritize the security of your information and implement appropriate technical measures to protect data.
Since no personal data is collected directly by the App, there is minimal risk of personal data breaches.
Local database storage uses SQLCipher encryption to protect prayer step guide content and user preferences stored on your device.
All data stored locally remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Prayer notification data is stored securely using Android's native notification system and SharedPreferences.
Any data collected by third-party services (AdMob, Google Maps, Firebase) is managed and secured according to their respective privacy policies and security practices.

Deletion: You can delete all App data by uninstalling the App from your device. This will remove all locally stored data, including preferences, prayer alarm settings, and notification data.
Location Permission: You can grant or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. If you revoke permission, you can still use the App by manually setting your location.
Notification Permission: You can enable or disable notifications through your device settings or within the App settings. You can also individually enable or disable alarms for each prayer.
Exact Alarm Permission (Android 12+): You can grant or revoke exact alarm permission through your device settings. Revoking this permission may affect the accuracy of prayer notifications.
Ad Personalization: You can control ad personalization through your device's advertising settings. On Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Data Portability: Since all data is stored locally, you can back up your device to preserve App data, including your prayer alarm preferences and settings.
Our App is suitable for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
Since we do not collect personal information, there is no special data collection from children.
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not require parental consent for App usage, as no personal information is collected.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete such information.

Legal Basis: We process location data based on your consent (which you can withdraw at any time). Other data processing is necessary for App functionality.

Prayer notifications are scheduled for up to 14 days in advance and are automatically rescheduled as needed.
Third-party services (AdMob, Google Maps, Firebase) retain data according to their respective privacy policies and data retention practices.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App.
